About ITS Laboratory
Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) aim to solve various problems of road traffic such as traffic jam or a vehicle accident which uses advanced sensors, communications and information process.
ITS Laboratory started from 2008 in Aichi University of Technology (AUT) and works on research of increasing safety and improvement of the environment. ITS Lab. consists of faculty members of AUT (Dept. of Media Informatics and Automotive junior college) and other co-researchers outside the university.

2010.Dec.10:Driving Simulator (D3Sim) now upgraded.
Driving Simulator (D3Sim) has been upgraded. The upgraded point is (1) road sings are now available and (2) target projector has been introduced. The road signs can be placed anywhere with any kind of contents. The target projector projects high resolution image for far distance objects. Using these functions, we are planning to evaluate the road signs visibility and the recognizability.
